A bit of MAC Club

A bit of MAC Club

I hesitate to say I’ve found my makeup mojo again because I feel like the moment I say that I’ll go back to wearing just eyebrow pencil and tinted sunscreen for three years, as they do, but I’ll go ahead and say it all started with a bit of Club.

Last week, out of the blue, I thought, “I really need to wear Club.” It’s been years since I wanted to get into complicated eye makeup, but I had the urge, so I did.

My makeup collection is pretty paltry compared to the heights of MBB’s beauty blogging days, but I’ve kept this old Monster’s Bride palette from – I won’t even say what year. LOL! I’ve always loved the shadows, especially Club.

I took a bit of Club, dabbed it on my lids, and smoothed the edges with a fluffy brush dipped in face powder.

A bit of MAC Club

Oh, and that’s when I discovered that while you can get past the urge to blend eight different eyeshadows on your lids, you can’t get past the urge to smooth the edges of the eyeshadow into a beautiful gradient, ha ha ha!

Anyway, like I said, Club. It will forever be etched in my heart as the eyeshadow that helped me get at least a little bit of my makeup magic back. Since that day last week, I’ve been craving to apply at least one shade to my lids. I guess that’s not too hard, right? I can do that. Plus, I want to do it.

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Ut elit tellus, luctus nec ullamcorper mattis, pulvinar dapibus leo.

So, yes, lately I’ve been wearing one shade of eyeshadow from my lash line to my mid-crease, and you know what? It makes me so, so happy.

And that’s all I really want from makeup, you know? I just want it to make me happy when I wear it.

I want to feel good when I wear it and right now a little MAC eyeshadow feels really good.

Wish me luck with my makeup and I’ll send you luck too because why not? ‘Tis the season to wear a little eyeshadow!

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen
